Lancia Delta integrale Repsol WRC, 1996, "N"

First registered in April 1996 and imported in 2000 from Bolzano on the Swiss/Italian border. FULL service history from new with no expense spared. 2 owners abroad, three in the UK including me. Fully maintained by Auto Integrale. Mileage is 120,000 and every part that’s ever looked like needing replacing has been plus more.

The real story of the car is the transformation in May 2005 that has made it into the most accurate WRC replica short of owning the real thing you will find. With the benefit of the genuine 1993 car alongside and assistance from Repsol, a fully retrimmed interior to match the livery and £6,000 worth of brakes and suspension, the car is not only accurate in every way, it’s fully prepared for modern roads with the latest running gear from Alcon and Öhlins.

Other details include replica Gp A sump guard, carbon brake ducts and wing mirrors and a mild engine management tweak to about 260hp for the new turbo and manifold. The final touch is the Gp A replica lamp pod carefully reproduced from the original. Its top quality and shows just how professional the original design engineers were as it does not negatively influence cooling – it helps it

The car has won a Lancia concours in 2005 where Giorgio Pianta (ex Abarth Rally chief) signed an oil portrait of the car (included in the sale) as well as suggesting it to membership of HLR - The Historic Lancia Rally club - which I am a member of. Car was present alongside the works cars at the Lancia Centenary celebrations in Turin in 2006. Appearances in Practical Performance Car, Auto Italia, Festival of Speed 2006, Race Retro, RallyDay, Supercar Sunday, NEC Classic Car Show and all the lanciarally.com events. At Race Retro 2008 it had the bonnet autographed by one of the most famous rally drivers of the 1980s and 1990s – Markku Alen.

If you want a WRC Delta but want to enjoy shows with the family, do the odd track day and go on holiday overseas – you can be sure to have a unique, professionally built and maintained Lancia respected amongst rally enthusiasts with all documents and photographs to back the history up.

In the 5-car test featuring the car, Simon Park of Auto Italias verdict: “no, it isn’t the real thing but you have to look closely to tell….the Repsol car was a nice compromise (of mechanicals across all 5 cars) and would do me fine”.

£26,000 ovno with all items (excl reg number) included in sale. I'm selling this car as I have bought another Lancia project!
