have checked Vevey now and it will be a great place to meet. But we are still not 100% sure if the trip will be possible for us. Money is a big issue though, I am still a student as my two co'drivers, so this trip will be made on a student budget. To give you an idea of a budget, for last years event we drove 3,300 miles which cost £750 in fuel, 8 hotels cost £420, the food/beer lots of ££££££'s . That is definetly within the limits. There are two more integrales that wants too go, so as it looks like there are three cars from sweden right now

OK - well there look like 4 cars from UK at the moment
.... I will make some calls and then post on here what we're doing. I think if people think about getting to Vevey on Tuesday evening, we have a chance to do a convoy through Martigny, then the St Bernard then on to Torino for Wednesday night.
Would you folks plan to be in Vevey Tuesday evening?

Those three intrepid travellers are:-
(1) Repsol: J-P and Fulviafiend (2) Dumptruck senior and junior (3) Mikel and David Jones
A few more are lurking, and some of the above would break out into another shared car if numbers rise.
But be quick or we'll lose the "convoy factor" if hotels get full, etc.

We are still unsure on how many are going. None of the cars are ready yet, and Malsa toghether with me will have to take a week of from our studies I don´t think we have any exams that week but I am not sure. I see it difficult though that we are going to be able to stay at the same hotell at least in San Marino.

Hello all Here's a snippet of the mail I sent everyone on the details I know it's a long time to RallyLegend in October 7-9, but if you want to join the 3 confirmed cars travelling from Club LanciaSport, then get in touch by the end of Easter (jp@lanciasport.com) to coordinate ferries and hotels - particularly Meridien Lingotto hotel (FIAT test track on roof - Italian job) as this is almost full due to exhibitions in the city of Turin.
We're travelling on Tuesday 5th October from Dover at 07:30. The trip takes you via Lake Geneva where we plan to meet some Swedish Lancia colleagues, then on to Grand Saint Bernard pass (Italian Job), Aosta valley to Turin Lingotto Hotel, planned visit Mirafiori factory, visit Lamborghini, 3-day San Marino Rally Legend event, visit Galleria Ferrari, return via relaxing overnight car-train from Alessandria to Düsseldorf, short hop back to Calais on Tuesday 12th in the early afternoon. If you budget £1500 each person on a 2-person sharing basis, you ought to come in under budget or have lots of souvenirs!
It's a great trip, a mixture of event and tour - with like minded folk who have been before and know where to go. As for the rallying, you'll get up real close with the cars, the drivers and see some incredible stuff day and night. Check out details on www.rallylegend.com - it really is a great event the likes of which you won't see anywhere else.some detailsTue 5/10/10: Depart 07:15 Tuesday DOVER CALAIS and drive to Vevey or Martingny by Lake Geneva Wed 6/10/10: Drive via Grand St Bernard down Aosta valley to Turin heading for Meridien Lingotto Hotel. Cafes and some sightseeing being arranged ;-) Thur 7/10/10: Mirafiori factory tour - then drive to San Marino - possibly via Lamborghini. Fri 8/10/10: Rallylegend - parc ferme, teams and cars in morning. Afternoon on stage Sat 9/10/10: Rallylegend - morning and night time stages Sun 10/10/10: Rally Legend finale in parc ferme, then easy drive to Maranello Mon: 11/10/10 - Galleria Ferrari then drive to Allesandria for car train boarding in the late afternoon Tuesday 12/10/10 - arrive 10:00 Düsseldorf via car train. Drive to Calais for 3pm ish ferry Latest news on cars:(1) Repsol: J-P and Fulviafiend (2) Verde York: Dumptruck senior and junior (3) Final Edition: Mikel and David Jones ... (4) Monza Evo 2: Possible J Witt

Nicve story out in Auto Italia about the Rallylegend event written by Peter Collins.
It's exactly as he's written - just great fun and fabulous action with excellent cars.

Hi J-P,
There appeared to be some interest in the rally legends trip at Auto iltalia a few weeks back! I assume if the ferry and trains are not fully booked people can still book up to come along?
Cheers, Simon

Hi J-P, I'm available for this event if there are spaces left? I'm free for the 1st time to go as i've found someone at work who is willing to do the Japanese GP in my place ! i've obviously got the car and i'm fine with the cost just lacking in a co-driver.
regards, Richard.
