There will be current passing to keep the relay closed, and then a flow of current to operate the relay. I guess "hot" is a pretty vague description, but a given level of heat would not be unusual.  Smiley

Anyone know if the 2 relays under the bonnet in front of the passenger are the fuel and ign relays? Keith said they were on the drivers side under a plastic cover ? i have nothing that looks like that. all i have are the relays on the passenger side ? help

Yes, they are the relays, I don't think that they should get hot though  Huh

It was the sensor Grin Grin Grin



the magnet was cracked and in bits,the pickup point was corroded.

Happy bunny now.
Thanks for all your help, and to Keith for getting the part to me quickly.
